Since 1979 the Arts Council has been promoting and co-ordinating the interests of the arts and culture in Watrous and surrounding area. The Council is a member of OSAC (Organization of Saskatchewan Arts Councils) which brings visual and performing arts to our community.

Bringing the arts to you!

Community Activities

  • GALLERY on 3rd exhibits the works of many artists & touring OSAC art shows as well as sale of artists' works in Art Shoppe.

  • Promote local talent ex. Provide Music in the Park during Fun Run (last Saturday in July).

  • Provide performing arts, workshops & visual arts tours for elementary or high school.

  • Host a Juried Art Show every second year.

  • Hire local drama club for the annual Dinner Theatre. (end of November)

  • Annual scholarship of $400.00 for a local high school graduate who is furthering their education in Fine Arts.

  • 4-5 ‘Night out in Town’ CONCERTS per year.
